All I ever hear about weed is how great it is. Weed was decriminalized in many left leaning states/ cities because black people had a problem with weed. Specifically when it came to getting jobs. It was one of the early DEI initiatives.
IMO, alcohol is still more socially accepted than cannabis

Where are you hearing the bolded?

But I agree, alcohol is pure poison.

In all honesty, I couldn’t care less if alcohol is made illegal tomorrow. I consume 4-5 combined servings of alcohol a year.

However, we must establish some facts. Once can consume alcohol without going into an altered state. Would everyone agree? One cannot consume weed without going into an altered state.

In other words, the vast majority, call it 99%+, smoke weed to get high. What percentage od alcohol consumption, on an individual level, is consumed to get drunk?

This is the issue with prohibiting alcohols it’s not really the *alcohol lobby*. Alcohol plays a role in both Christianity and Judaism. Alcohol was initially a means of preserving potable water. It played an essential part in the development of civilization.

Cannabis has legitimate medical uses but so does morphine (heroine). Why not legalize heroin?

I’m actually for legalizing all drugs but the government can’t then go and say private actors can’t discriminate based on drug use.

I don’t know what the point of drinking is if you don’t plan to be nice and toasty.

What happened to "yield to pedestrians" on crosswalks?

Plus, that's NYC, Manhattan of all places. Every nook and cranny is under surveillace probably by more than one camera.

This has to be up there in the stupidity scale.

Lol. The dumbassmeter went pop on that one.

You have to wonder about the drug counselling to teens business she runs. That’s another laugh. The article said she ran her sessions on Saturdays. Once a week, and she drives a Lexus. I smell fish.

A beverage like any other? In many parts of Europe, beer is cheaper than water. If I could get a grapefruit Hefeweizen on tap everyday, I’d probably have at least one a day. It’s delicious.

That Lexus is worth 10-13 k max.
10 years ago I had the same model I bought for 24k. Great car and value for the money.

Yes, a used Lexus makes a lot of sense, lol.

I drive a 12 year old Toyota, and want to keep it as long as I can.

OTOH, would you send your teen get counselling in private sessions when you read something like that?
