Attention you tight fisted SOB's DoorDash is testing a new policy. Orders placed without a tip *may* take longer to arrive.

So if you want your grub to arrive sooner better loosen up the mousetrap.

I once received my food order 3 hours after I ordered it. Had to grab it in the morning and throw it out.

The only delivery I’ve ever used is Chinese and pizza where I can call the restaurant directly. You’re crazy using these apps. You should want as close a connection as possible between you and the service you’re paying for. Putting a third (fourth really) party between you and the product is crazy.

Food delivered to your home when you have a fridge and a stove a few feet away ?
The last time I stepped on a scale I didn't break it.
Dang?

The tip thing is really getting out of control. It’s starting to leave a bad taste in my mouth(pun intended). I’m a naturally defiant individual. I don’t like being told what to do or how to do it.
Which because of the way my brain is wired it’s making my rebellious side not want to tip at all, ever, under any circumstances, just out of principle. I’m just not feeling this trend towards mandatory tipping. Pay better wages or give true full time hours. I pay enough already in taxes supporting millions of dependents that I don’t even know, I don’t need to pay any more on top of that.

If you hate seeing our streets clogged with scooter dick heads, and people completely ignoring traffic laws and riding on sidewalks...delete those apps.

And since our City Council critters love passing laws. Make these delivery apps ensure that all their contract employees use only registered and insured vehicles.

There are like 6-7 delivery apps in NYC. If one fails to deliver then we cross it off. Competition is good.

Let's take a moment to remember that the popularity of these apps exploded because nobody wanted to go outside at a certain point and time. In BC times, services like Seamless and GrubHub were considered a novelty.
