Going along Columbus ave near 79th other night and some older man came out of walking his dog on Planetarium park, he went right up to a "kidnapped" Israel poster on lamp post and began tearing it down. I'm thinking what does this old (white) geezer have against Jews?
I don't understand this at all. Tearing down these posters is such a bad look. If they truly wanted to show the plight of Palestinians, why not put up their own signs? Instead they have to tear down these signs.
So the posters act like tiny little IEDs -got it. Put up a poster and become a mini-terrorist.
Well, there are always choices. One does not have to tear down these pictures at all. They could make their own to counter it but they won't because they never seem to think of that. It's not the people putting up posters being the mini-terrorists.

Probably nothing.
Maybe because they look like crap?
I ripped down at least a dozen yesterday in my neighborhood that were put there by a medical marijuana dispensary - and I imbibe! I just don't want to see my neighborhood crapped up.
Better watch out - I've seen videos where they are now placing razor blades under the posters and when people try to rip them down they get cuts all over their hands - sorry I think it's deserved - Karma.
Well, eventually they need to come down then what? Random city workers getting carved?

You're supporting violence. Paper -putting it up or taking it down - is not violent. Razor blades are.
I saw one of those posters in Honolulu yesterday. On a telephone pole right in front of the District Court. I shook my head, but just turned away. The poster was pushing people to call the Congressman, who is a useless slug. The poster featured a picture of a hostage older Jewish Israeli couple.
The whole situation over there is a complicated picture. The death and mayhem is atrocious. It could be a very SIMPLE picture, instead--- if the Israeli regime would just let the Palestinians have their own country. They have been thwarted and OCCUPIED since 1967. Violence is a response to a situation which has become intolerable. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anna_Baltzer https://mondoweiss.net/2008/11/held-...rolled-by-you/
