The length, severity, and cost of treating each corona pt is much higher than those of flu pt. Its death rate is likely higher than 2%. Most people can recover from flu without medical assistance. If untreated, 10% or more corona pt will fall. health complications/consequences for cured corona pt remain to be determined.

Corona is deadly and much more contagious than flu. If this corona gets out of control like how flu is, humans will be doomed. I am saying this not to scare anyone but to remind you to take it seriously with all precautions you have.

Yeah. I'm going to try to find the graph which ranked the various diseases in terms of it's deadliness. Corona is more serious than the common cold and flu but ranked far, far lower than MERS, SARS, Ebola & the Bird Flu in terms of it's fatality rate. Many more people may have died from the flu (because the flu is much more prevalent than the coronavirus) but the coronavirus is stronger and more deadlier than the flu. Bottom line: you wouldn't want to catch it.

Yeah, he should but that would never happen.

If China valued free speech, there would be no coronavirus crisis.

While China finally came to terms with accepting and openly sharing the epidemics of this corona virus, the latest statistics revealed that the death rate varies geographically, with the highest recorded at about 8.x% in a city.
The epicenter Wuhan is at 5.x%, way higher than what was estimated earlier.
Again, it remains unknown what long term health complications will follow for those who recovered from the infection. This is not a flu-like thing, and do all you can to stay out of it!!!

There's something like 575,000 Chinese in NYC. Lets says 10% went back for the Chinese New Years, 57,500. 20% of them passed through Wuhan, making 11,500... past this is pure speculation... let's say infection rate is 25% of contact number should be 2,875 Chinese that would test positive for coronavirus, even without symptoms.

90,000 admitted cases in China, far more hidden or no-symptoms, that's WITH a communist style lockdown... NYC not only has no such lockdown, they have no safety protocol in any form! So... yea...I'm guessing the amount of people that are carriers are (2,875) x (number of people contacted / 4)

It does not seem to be fatal with a high percentage or speed but, obviously, we know nothing of its' long term effects.

Yeah...let's hope it stays that way. Don't see as many people walking around wearing masks these past few days. Either because they've run out or they're no longer as concerned.

Just go to Resorts casino in Queens and you will see at least 100 Chinese wearing their masks. I was their last night.

By the way, don't kid yourself and think just because there haven't been any confirmed positive results that we're in the clear. You know damn well there are probably 100s of Chinese walking around the city, specifically where I live near North East Queens, that have this damn thing. All the Chinese restaurants and any stores with Chinese working are empty near me. For good damn reason.
