I just google'd it because I never had it before. Apparently they were overfished, unsure if there are restrictions on them now or being overfished is the reason why they are not on the menu.

You tell me now !!! We threw back maybe 100 this year, it's the easiest fish to catch. You have to bleed them out immediately if your going to eat them. I see you go to Spanos occasionally, I'm good friends with the owner Joe and his son Frankie, we go all the time.

I went for the first time this summer. Friends took me Good place. Went back, and I have a res to go back again. Love that he comes out to every table. Also that it's BYO.

I most had fish there, and I keep the carbs low, but next time, I have to try one of the pastas. Not always a big pasta fan, but place like that, I have to try it.

The problem with bluefish (well, aside from most people not liking it) is that it has a pretty short window in which it needs to be eaten after being caught, think it's less than 2 full days (or something to that effect) because it's so oily. The other problem with bluefish, if you plan to fish for them yourself, is they have really sharp teeth. When I was a kid growing up in southeastern CT, my dad was fishing for them from the beach on LI Sound. He got one, and then when he was pulling the hook out, the teeth got him and he needed to go to the ER for stitches.

All of that said, there's a place on Cape Cod that make a Bluefish pate that's to die for. It is insanely good, and I generally don't care for bluefish on it's own.
