We have a family of 4 with two young children and looking to move between west windsor and freehold. wanted to know how are school districts outside of west windsor such as
East Windsor
Highstown
Twin Rivers
Manapalan
Millhurst
Freehold
Hightstown and Twin Rivers are in East Windsor and all kids attend East Windsor Regional School District. This district doesn't stack up well next to the neighbouring districts of West Windsor, Princeton, Hopewell and Montgomery which are consistantly well rated.
I believe Manalapan is in the Freehold District (someone correct me if I'm wrong) and have read some good things about their schools.
You might want to look at the Cranbury District, their elementary schools are excellent and the kids are bussed to Princeton HS which is very highly rated.
Cranbury used to send their HS kids to East Windsor. That's changed?
Roosevelt , just south of East Windsor, has a terrific elementary school.
Yeah Ira, It has changed. Cranbury kids have been going to Princeton HS for many years now.
Makes Cranbury even more attractive, they rent HS space from Princeton and keep their tax base lower by not supporting their own HS.
I went to Hightstown High School about 100 years ago. The smart kids there, as a rule, came from Roosevelt and Cranbury, and there were a lot more Cranbury kids. Losing them to Princeton has to hurt.
