I rented my apartments just fine. Actually had demand for them.

You can rent in the East Ward and downtown. Let the city improve in those areas and hopefully the city grows in population and some of the problems correct themselves.

There is MORE to Newark than the South and West Wards!

Newark must be improving or else corey booker would never have ben elected to the senate. No one would vote for booker if newark wasn't improved. Whole Foods was a game changer.

I lived in Essex County for a majority of my life and have worked in Newark the Ironbound section to be specific since the late 1960's. In some ways the city has improved but anyone who has any money would never give a thought to living there. It is downright dangerous at night. Matter of fact some sections especially when Tony boy ran the North Ward were safer in the 1960's than they are today. The gang presence is overwhelming to say nothing of the street level punks who roam the city like a pack of dogs.

Newark getting better? Spend 15 minutes outside of Newark Penn Station and find out for yourself, its worse then any African country there.

The people renting in 1180 Broad or the Rock Plaza Lofts certainly are not poor, given the rents charged. It's false to say no one with money would ever live in the city.

Worse than any African country? Really?

There was a stabbing in Times Square yesterday, I guess no one wants to live there either.
