Menendez to face criminal corruption charges, report says | NJ.com

Quote:
WASHINGTON — U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez will face federal criminal corruption charges stemming from his actions on behalf of Dr. Salomon Melgen, CNN reported today, citing people briefed on the case.

An announcement could come within weeks, the news organization said.

Menendez (D-N.J.) intervened in two cases involving Melgen, a West Palm Beach ophthalmologist and campaign donor, one in a billing dispute with the government and another regarding a port-security contract in the Dominican Republic. Menendez also reimbursed Melgen for three flights on the doctor's private jet that the senator initially did not disclose.

The senator twice contacted the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, which found that Melgen had overbilled the government by $8.9 million. Menendez also asked about a port-security contract in the Dominican Republic held by a company whose investors include Melgen.

While I do believe he is corrupt, funny how it came out right after he went against King Obama with the Israeli Prime Minister.

I was thinking the same thing.

And just when I was starting to think maybe he wasn't ALL bad.

And notice how in all the headlines it's just Senator Menendez...not Democrat Senator Menendez. The only time they mention party is to say he is siding with the republicans on Iran.

he is no more corrupt than any of them. I guess when you lose the protection of the party, suddenly corruption has consequences. im sure he will fall back in line and the "consequences" will go away.

btw, I have no idea how America has the nerve to consider iran evil. its so weird how politicians are bought by special interests to support war and people just buy right into it. we invaded Iraq & Afghanistan, on the west and east borders of iran. we murdered sweet innocent Talibans and nice Iraqi republican guards. we are the axis of evil, not iran. that whole thing is fake. also, I didn't fully fact check the below picture but I googled a couple and I hope you get the point.

for those of you that need a visual to picture Iraq and Afghanistan, two countries whose governments we destroyed and placed large military and political infrastructure within & iran in the middle. supposedly, they are the bad guys and we are the good guys.

So I guess the hostage taking, airline hijackings, and other assorted bombings don't really count?

Default D-party eats their own to prep for 2016

When you see nothing wrong with the DOJ going after CC within 24 hrs of his denial and assigning a gunslinger federal attorney to prosecute a lane closure, don't be surprised when Obama admin goes after Dem strays.

While CC was being persecuted and prosecuted by the NJ dems, DOJ and media, the standing charges against Menendez were almost impossible to find on the net. Made you think the case was settled and done to the point no one here believed charges were still pending.

Then Walker was attacked and Perry was bought on head turning fantasy charges in an effort to pave the way to a radical D-party 2016 win.

Then we read about Petraeus being charged.

Now we see the whitehouse letting HRC twist in the wind after they gave her enough rope to hang herself by intentionally not noticing her emails were not on a sanctioned server.

You had no problem with Holder judge shopping with a pack of lies until the 3rd judge he approached approved his warrant to eavesdrop on assoc press and FOX reporter Jame Rosen. Red flag was the media stood back and let it happen. Partisans saw no problem.

Then there was the Louisiana purchase and the Nebraska cornhusker kickback to get obama care passed.

The radical left wing of the Dem party is cleansing its ranks of old school liberal dems to ensure a win in 2016 with Elizabeth Warren. Look for a pattern of HRC supporter Dems to be jettisoned.

Now you see what your novelty vote has wrought.

Not a fan of menendez, but his prosecution reveals the subjective application of justice by a weaponized federal agency to forward an unwanted political agenda.

What does it matter?
you can keep your senator if you like your senator...and he tows the radical D-party line

You forgot the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and the Democratic Republic of Germany on the US side. Sometimes we succeed you know.
