If money wasnt a factor I would prefer Marlton, particularly the area near Voorhees. But depending where u work 5 or so miles could make a big difference with the commute. Evesham rd gives access to all the rt 73 stores.
There's Merchantville, too, but I wouldn't recommend it.
Merchantville is wedged between Camden, Cherry Hill, and Pennsauken. It's not close enough to Maple Shade to be an "M" town and it's in Camden County. Nice try, though.

Nice try? I think it's the only other M town in the area. That's the reason that I mentioned it.
No one with a 500k budget is going to buy in Maple Shade.

All the 5 M towns are in Burlington County including Maple Shade. It's a working class town compared to Marlton, Moorestown, and even Mount Laurel. All the 5 M towns are in Burlington County, which is why I omitted Merchantville due to the fact that it's in Camden County, and it's a lovely town at that, but still Merchantville was omitted for a reason.
Virtually no difference between Mt. Laurel and Marlton. The towns pretty much bleed into one another. Marlton is maybe a little more spread out with open land, whereas Mt. Laurel is more commercially developed. But both are pretty developed by this point, and still developing. Schools are comparable, town demographics are comparable, really not much else to distinguish the two. Really, you might as well use your commutes as the tie breaker.
Agreed. I might give a slight edge to Marlton in terms of housing stock and amenities, but I imagine that property taxes in Mt. Laurel are somewhat more favorable—it being Burlington County and all.
