It started up right around the time 10/1 happened. You'll notice a lot of the flyby troll accounts got registered right around then.

This board used to be much more lively before all the trolling started. Lots of people have stopped posting here due to all the vile hatred being spewed on here.

Right? But Conservatives get called paranoid for thinking this is a Democratic coup when the mouthpieces of their party have been saying stuff like this for years, now.

Well a couple weeks ago the libs were all claiming it was a flu virus that jumped from bats.

"The Flu" is just a name for any number of severe winter illnesses that get passed around during that season.

So far, infection rates just like flu, same season, mortality rates comparable to the flu, symptoms just like the flu. Could it be.... wait for it.... the flu!?!?

Guaranteed it will be tracked in the flu numbers by CDC starting in the fall.... just watch.

For that matter, where did this year's flu go? It magically disappeared when the term Covid-19 made it into the urban vernacular.

Sisolak is doing what most states are which is to flatten the curve.

Thus, the theory embedded in the model is never wrong. If a model is immune to falsification, because no matter what happens it is always right, it is not scientific, but meaningless nonsense.”

“ A March 20th article in the Las Vegas Review-Journal, citing a model, suggested that 94,000 Nevadans would have to be hospitalized. The same article reported that Governor Sisolak warned that hospitals faced a potential tsunami of Covid-19 patients. In the governor’s April 21st situation report Kyra Morgan, the state biostatistician, claims that with limited action, the peak hospitalizations will be 65,000. She claims that with social distancing the peak hospitalizations will be 25,000. With shelter in place (house arrest) she claims peak hospitalizations will be only 1300. Nevada has only 5500 hospital beds. Thus, you have the model-inspired case for placing the entire population under house arrest.”

NOW SHOW US HOW THIS IS WRONG OMEGA AND ANYONE ELSE FOOLISH ENOUGH TO TRY.
Their own data shows that lockdowns don't work. The point of a lockdown is to slow the rate of infection, ostensibly to thereby slow the rate of hospital admissions. Therefore, if lockdowns worked, we would see that reflected in the rate of new infections.

Anyone can look at the new infections graph and see that the slope of the graph remained unchanged prior to and following the lockdown.

If we have a general infection rate of 20% like NYC and LA (I'm betting we do) this whole thing is pointless. It would indicate 640,000 in Nevada alone are already infected. Good luck locking that down.

I said weeks back that by the time they hospitalized patient zero, that with the 15 day incubation period, it was already too late. In fact, Sisolak's statistician showed a graphic depicting how a single infection can infect something like 460 people in a two week time period, and I think it assumed that person was in contact with 5 people a day or something like that.

Now, consider that the first cases were of people who were known to be in a casino in the weeks prior to admittance. How many people did they contact each day? 50? 100? Do the math and it becomes blatently obvious that by the time the first guy makes it to the ER there are already a hopeless number of people to contact trace and quarantine.

Now we know this thing was here during CES... I wonder if there are any odds to play on this because I will bet it was here in October.

Influenza data can easily be found, here for example.

I'd again ask you to explain these:

1. They closed down New Zealand.. better results than Sweden.. what have you got to say to that?

2. Flu's happen in the fall/winter season.. Australia was in their summer season.. when they don't have the flu.. but they had a big outbreak of your "flu". When have we in the northern hemisphere had a big outbreak of the "flu" during the summer? Like you said.. it's season dependent..s and comparable to the flu but if that's true.. how could there be a flu during the summer months in Australia?

3. Please tell me you know about the SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE AND DON'T TELL ME YOU THINK THAT THEY ARE ON THE SAME SEASON AS US BECAUSE YOU THINK THE EARTH IS FLAT AND SO IT DOESN'T MATTER.

Why can't you admit when you are wrong on something and move onto a different argument? I'm sorry but I'll have to copy and paste this post each time you post but don't reply to it. Sweden wasn't right to keep open and have double the death rate as their neighbors.. but you want us to be like Sweden but without give each citizen free healthcare and education system with their high tax rate.

Since Equid0x thinks this is just a flu and keeps saying Sweden was right to stay open and will have heard immunity soon:

Sunrise Hospital took their CV-19 tent down last week, for what it's worth. I'd say that's a signal that the medical system is saying they think they can handle a second surge of patients when the city's economy is gradually reopened. It looks like it's going to happen sooner than later.
