You can study Laughlin, NV if you want to learn about someone who has done what you dream of... Their Airport has commercial flights, but is across the river in Arizona. Wendover was kind of fun for a night, and Elko used to fly in gamblers from the region, if they simply showed 300 usd.

You should buy up Cherry Creek Nv, it has water and power, and not too many people. Good luck!

This is fantastic! How is this comedy gem buried in the Nevada forum and not moved to some comedy forum? Do we not have one on the site? Shame...

See, what you need is an Arcology.

The Chinese love the concept of Arcology

I'm sure that the military wouldn't mind him dropping in an international airport or building his gambling utopia immediately adjacent to Area 51. Of course, there is tons of available infrastructure in a town of about 50 people in the middle of the desert in rural Lincoln County. You can't even get a cellular signal there, and there is exactly one business in town (the Little A'Le'Inn). He wouldn't notice a lot of temperature difference between this and Coyote Springs, either. Then there is the issue of finding anyone to work in this new gaming mecca, since it's about three hours from Las Vegas by car, and the population of all of Lincoln County is just over 5,000 people. We won't even go into things like fire and police protection, medical care, or even something as basic as a gas station.
