Vacationing in MB area June 21-24, 2010 (Myrtle Beach, Garden City: real estate, rentals, condos)

I will be vacationing in the MB area in a few weeks, and I have a few questions.
1. Is the Garden City Beach area safe for tourists?
2. Are there any special events going on the week of June 21-25, 2010?
3. Will we be able to find a condo or motel room at Garden City Beach if we don't make reservations? We will be staying Mon - Thurs. nights.

In addition to just enjoying the beach, we plan to take a charter boat for fishing, visit a water park, play mini-golf, race go-carts, and eat seafood! I'm very excited, but just wanted to ask the forum if there is anything in particular that I need to know before getting there. No oil spills and the like, you know?

Probably. There are only a few hotels in Garden City area, it is mostly beach houses & condos. I would suggest calling one of the real estate companies first to see what is available though.

PS: No oil, or the like, washing ashore.

Garden City is a really pretty place, much quieter and serene than MB. Good choice! Have a wonderful vacation

We stayed at Royal Gardens in Garden City. Sea Breeze Realty handles a lot of the rentals in the building. They have an office at the location. They also handle a few other buildings in Garden City.
