Does anyone live in the Creekhaven subdivision in Prince Creek that could give me some information on the community and the Ryland homes.... particularly the Sandpiper plan? If so,could you tell me how you like it there and what the HOA fees and taxes and insurance are? Thanks!

Well.....Apparently,no one on here lives in Creekhaven. How about Murrells's Inlet? Anyone live there? How do you like it,etc.?
I do live in Murrells Inlet and like it a lot. I know where Creekhaven is. It's a pretty community which is close (2-3 miles) to grocery, drug store, and within 5 miles to shopping and the beach. Murrells Inlet has a sort of downtown area that has many restaurants and seafood shops. It's nice because it's away from the traffic and hubbub of Myrtle Beach, but still only about 10 miles south if you want to go there.
I had a Ryland Home in Maryland before moving to SC. It was a great home from a construction standpoint. The folks I dealt with were well informed and helpful.
I wish I could help more but really don't know the particulars of the site plan. Taxes here are usually low if this is going to be your primary residence. Insurance is not cheap here (threat of hurricanes). Get back to me with other questions, if need be.
I live in Murrrells Inlet and in Prince Creek but I live in another subdivison.
I think the homes in Creek Haven are very cute, and Prince Creek as a whole is super nice.

Thanks for the info. Yes,we can tell by the pictures on the internet how nice the Ryland homes are.....a lot of super quality details. Can't wait to see them in person in a few weeks. I know S.C. doesn't have car inspection, but do you have to pay property tax on your car?
Yes, there is personal property tax on vehicles (including boats, mobile homes, etc.). There is no sales tax on a vehicle at time of purchase, but whenever you title your car initially or renew your registration annually you pay PPT on the vehicle based on the book value of the vehicle up to a maximum of $300 per vehicle per year.

Where do you live? Do you know of anywhere in Murrells Inlet that is nice without an HOA?
I live in the International Club (does have an HOA). There are lots of homes in this area that don't have HOA's, but most of them are older as new developments in this area tend to use HOA's to manage their community. Check with a local realtor to find out about each individual community.

I figured that. We're not interested in an older home, but we're hoping our next HOA want be as bad as the one we have now. We had one before moving here, but it wasn't like this one. I think it's worse because it's a gated community. We'll check out all our options. Thanks!
the hoa at Oak Hampton is only about 30 dollars a mpnth and is super cute....my subdivision is only about a 100 a month and I have great amenties, perfect lawncare and it also includes water,,,,very worth it...I paid two hundred dollars a month to have someone mow my yard back home....oh and mine is gated too
