Myrtle Beach is not a bad place to live. It is higher in crime than many places, but most happen after midnight and downtown/south of downtown. I rent my hotel conversion on 68th ave out for $450/month. It's small, about 400 square feet, but across from the beach. There may be other places near there. Yes, I can get $600 a week during summer, but the place is otherwise empty between September and May. It is worth it for long term renters.
