There is a map with crimes committed someone on the net.

I did not bookmark it and if I find it I will post it here.

Maybe someone else has it and will post the link.

If I remember correctly most crime is concentrated on a couple areas.

Found in Myrtle Beach forum:

Myrtle Beach Crime Map

Actual Map:

Crime Map Beta - Trulia

Also remember that crime numbers may be skewed due to the large amount of visitors to the area.

Well if you are in college or even if you are older and want to live in the surrounding area....stay away from University Village and any where near that area. Also downtown seems to have a lot of crime, esp around the beach accesses, mostly windows being broken out of cars and items being stolen.

To answer your two questions...

1. Worse crime...Murder, Domestic Violence

2. Crime is everywhere.

Not to make light of your comments, but I live in a town that has a population of about 5,800 and decreasing about 10% a year.

Crime is "everywhere" here as well, with more domestic violence than murder. Plus I wouldn't classify Marlin as a "tourist" attraction, so our crime is against each other and does not increase during any "tourist" season as I understand happens in MB.

My point is that I don't think there are any areas in the US where there is not crime.
