I would vote for Tampa. I used to live there 25 years ago, and now I live in NY, but I'd move back there in a "new york minute".I think it is a decent sized city with good opportunities for employment (relatively speaking), and enough diversity of people that you'll have an easier time meeting Mr. wonderful. I love MB, but I think it's touristy and not as conducive to relocating and jump starting a career - unless your career is in tourism. Don't know anything about Dallas or Austin. But I don't think you'll go wrong with Tampa.
Job is number one and Austin beats both of those towns. Texas has created the largest number of jobs then any state period.
Florida is not a good place to be looking for work. I believe they are in the teens maybe for unemployment.
What made you think of Myrtle Beach? I have vacation in MB for years and if you can find a job that pays decent then that would be my pick for you based on what little we know.
Guessing Austin would have jobs and decent and reasonable housing. Besides they are a thriving college town also.
