For all you long time permanent residents.....who would you recommend for good, quality furniture?
Sorry typo mistake in Myrtle because on phone and can't correct it! But you know where I mean.

Reason: Trying to correct typo.
I’d love to know this as well. I see a lot of furniture places but so far have not seen any furniture stores with high quality, highly detailed furniture with real cherry wood and mahogany. The place that I bought my furniture from before does not exist in SC. Anyone know if any of the furniture stores carry A.R.T. furniture?

I have never heard of A.R.T. furniture, but when I googled it,Haverty's Furniture popped up. Whether they have that furniture,or whether they were just popping up because I was looking for furniture,I don't know, but I do know they have real nice, quality furniture. I have purchased a lot from them and it is solid, heavy and beautiful and has held up really well.
We have also gotten many lovely pieces at The Seaside Furniture Gallery in NMB and we are very happy! Not only did we purchase furniture right off the floor, but they were able to order the Stanley cocktail table and end tables that we wanted. They also have tons of decor items. I am not advertising for them. We just love that store. The owners, Julie and Allaire are great people to work with, as is their staff!
I checked out Seaside Furniture and Havertys on the internet. Seaside looks like more for beach cottages. Havertys looks more like what we are looking for in living room.....real leather and real wood for a regular home. Might find some decor and accents at Seaside though. We are going to Havertys today and check it out in person. Thanks!

If you don't mind going south of Myrtle you could check out Garden City Furniture. For those who want furniture immediately or are just plain-old cheap like us they have a close-out warehouse out back.
