All the gators I have seen recently were in the ponds along Greenway along side of Willow Bay. Across from the second Willow Bay entrance is a wooded swampy area where there at least was a beaver colony and a large cotton mouth snake that you would see once in a while from the sidewalk. There are a lot of nice "nature preserved" areas within the Princecreek complex.
Saw our first one at the pond by #18/ clubhouse at Pawleys Plantation over the weekend....a monster that rivaled what we used to see on the UF campus in Gainesville. we estimate his length to have been "every bit of 8 feet"..likely closer to 9 IMO. A massive beast that was worthy of our utmost respect.
