Cropduster,

Creekhaven is a Ryland homes community. It has quite a few floor plans available. The community is divided into two areas, with the first being nearly completed, and the second section nearly ready to start. The first section is all single family homes, the second will be a combination of single family and townhomes. The single homes have base prices in the low $200s, but if you want some of the most popular options you are probably going to end up around $250-275,000.

Creekhaven is a nice community, small lots which give a slightly crowded feel, but nice for lawn care.
People are a nice mix of northern retirees and SC natives. More kids in this neighborhood than the usual community (to me that's a positive). Good location in that it is off the beaten path, yet is close to grocery and pharmacy shopping, Murrells Inlet, ocean, and several golf courses (Blackmoor, Indian Wells, International Club, Indigo Creek and TPC@ Myrtle Beach).

I don't live there, but have friends there. The homes seem to be well-constructed. I did have a Ryland home for my last house in Maryland and was pleased with both the house and Ryland's customer service.
I think this is a safe community, though probably an occasional gator, which will get the neighbors talking. It also has use of a small Prince Creek park just a short distance down Wilderness Road- swimming pool, picnic tables, etc. Good luck to you!
