I'm interested in a home on Plantation Road. Approximately how far is it from a public beach and is the area nice, safe etc.?

Hi,
I bought a house in Socastee about a year ago. So far i'm extremely happy with the location. Its pretty close to market commons which has pretty much everything you need and its close to the beach but not too close. I live in Brandymill subdivision which is a very safe and well kept community. It's also pretty much right across from the high school. Worth looking into depending on what you want to spend on rent. Houses there typically rent for about $1,200+.

I looked at a home in Brandymill but I felt it was way over priced ($260,000) and I feel like some people are not caring for their homes. Are you still happy there? Are there kids there? What do you think is a reasonable price for your subdivision? How do you feel about your HOA?
