Hi, can you please let me know if Horray county is a good area to live in? We are thinking about moving to North Myrtle beach area. Just not to sure what areas to look at. We have visited once and didn't have a chance to look at too much. Can you please let me know of nice areas for a family with newer homes under 300k and good schools and community colleges?

Also, what are the biggest hospitals and are they nearby?

Thanks so much!

We live in the Carolina Forest area and love it. The schools are close by and so is the hospital.

We paid under $300 for a brand new house built.

I 2nd Carolina Forest. I think Conway has a medical Center just down the road. I know of another Medical Center off of the 17 I think it's called Grand Strand Medical Center.

The local colleges are Horry-Georgetown Technical College & Coastal Carolina University. Both have good reputations.

The closest Hospitals to North Myrtle are the Grand Strand Medical Center followed by the Sea Coast Medical Center. I've actually been to both recently after being run over by a boat. As far as school are looking for middle schools or highschools. As far as community colleges are concerned Horry-Georgetown has at least 3 different campuses/locations with many classes to offer. There is also Coastal Carolina University and Webster University.

Please don't think I'm being petty but the correct spelling is 'HORRY' county. And the H is silent so you pronounce it Orry county.

Default Horry county

I live in longs, off of HWY 905, the nearby Hospitals are Seacoast, and Grand Strand Medical Center. There are many homes for sale under $300.00. I would go to these websites:

Myrtle Beach 911 . Com which are classifieds, and you can list what your looking for, and you can chat to local people. You can also go to REALTOR.com - Real Estate Listings & Homes For Sale and punch in area code 29568 which is the longs zipcode and see what homes are for sale.
