Horray county and best areas to live near Myrtle Beach?

There are some wonderful communities in Horry County.
A couple in the South end are The Gates or The Lakes. There are quite a few hospitals around.
Coastal Carolina University is off of 544 and not far from these two communities.
I found The Lakes to be most charming. Lots of lakes, large lots and gorgeous homes.

I too am thinking of relocating. Life is too short to live someplace you do not like (New York). I have a 12 yr old and am wondering if anyone can tell me the better schools for middle/high school and where there are some nice apartment developments/areas to raise children.

Hi Allison4028. You actually might want to start a new thread of your own since this one is many years old. Also, do a forum search for schools and apartments as I've seen countless threads asking these same questions. Good luck.
