Lately I am hearing of people who would like a second home in the south.
Some warm place to head to when the winter winds blow.
There are a few manufactured communities for "all ages" that might suit the bill.
One that comes to mind is Coral Bay in Murrells Inlet. In this community you would own your own land. This is quite rare, as there are not all that many in which the land is deeded to you.
A few other all age communities are Oceanside Village. On the ocean with your own beach. They have a great indoor pool for year round and an outdoor pool for summertime. The clubhouse is full of activities and is very active. These homes are on leased land, in Surfside Beach.
Other leased land communities for "all ages" are:
Teal Acres on 707
Crystal Lake behind Preswick Golf community and...
Windjammer Village on route 17
So beside the many condos and apartments that are available there are some nice manufactured communities that might be suited for your families needs.
