I have a brother in myrtle beach, he works service industry for a plumbing company, he said as he talks to people such as real estate agents and developers, he said the feeling is that there is a slow down in home and especialy condo buyers.
That the prices have come down a bit but the sellers are still hanging on to the 10% jumps of a few years ago.
He has told me storys of people from new york buying condos for 180k and then condos next to them selling for 148k a few months later..
I have friends and family in michigan [a very bad state for selling anything] and in wichita, where there is a slow down going on and forclosures are going up.
Arkansas also I have family there and I am told that home sales are starting to slow down and prices are adjusting, Tampa I have family living there and they are looking for work in the carolinas because there is a big slow down.
So my question is what is what is going on from another source in myrtle beach. is it slowing down along with the rest of the country?
Location: Sunny Phoenix Arizona...wishing for a beach.

They have had several stories on myrtlebeachonline about the slow down here. It's seems to be effecting Myrtle Beach as well as all over.
Things have slowed down, especially due to the fact that a lot of people move here from up north and now are having a problem selling their houses. It does seem like recently things have leveled off and there has been more going on in the last few weeks.
