Anyone have suggestions on the best route to take from Cleveland/Akron area to Conway? Mapquest and my GPS both took me through too many small towns last month. I remember years ago when we made this trip we went to Charlotte NC hung a left and went to MB. At that time 501 was just being expanded. I wil be moving to Conway next month and plan to make several trips back to Ohio over the next few years so would like to find a good route. Lost my husband 2 yrs ago, he was my navigator and always found the best way to go anywhere.

Haha, one response you'll get from many SC folks to an OH guy is: "You can't, all the highways here are one-way, Northbound only, sorry" haha!

Sorry for your loss.

I always use the new 73-74 corridor right inside NC. Sure it takes you through some small towns but now they have widened it to 4 lanes you are fine.

We just did that trip from Columbus to Myrtle Beach a few weeks back and did it in less then 10 hours if I remember correctly.

Yes, we used to do the Charlotte through Monroe etc on 74 but we found the traffic slowed us down and we made better time going up 220.
