The first time I hung out on Beale Street, I snagged a parking space about a half a block away. When I was leaving, I got in my car and started the engine. I had left the stereo on, tuned to a music station. When the stereo came on, Walking in Memphis (a song I love) was playing, and the next line was "was walking with my feet ten feet off of Beale". Gave me goose bumps.
