I was thinking *exactly* the same thing. If this guy were in Arizona there would be a number of vigilante groups volunteering to hunt the guy down and bring him to the authorities in shackles...
When I see things like this, it makes me happy that I decided to (legally) move to Canada for good...
Care to share with a fellow America a few pointers?
I'm just wondering how I can report an illegal immigrant who is currently working in Montreal illegally? He is a US citizen and moved out to Canada about 7 months ago (late May, early June). I know the 1st 6 months is legal, but after that you are considered illegal. Is there a way I can be anonymous when reporting this person? What are the chances that there will be action taken on him and this issue? He says that he is waiting for his paperwork, but as of now he is illegally here, does not have a registered car and is getting paid illegally. Also, is it true that it's a lot harder to become a citizen in Canada now? Thank you!
My cousin is an immigration official, he told me that they have many agents on the lookout. He said you should take your "friend" to the Botanical Garden and hit him over the head with a rolled up Sunday edition of the The Gazette in front of the main entry. That will be the signal and they will do the rest. Don't wait, but quickly run away or they may grab you by mistake.

Unlike a lot of Americans, a good percentage of Canadians have empathy for other human beings. This empathy is reflected in the country's laws and the relatively civilized way the Canadian people behave in public.

HAHA .. I will hold back, I don't want to get banned.
On a somewhat comical note.. if the OP were to report this illegal dude to Immigration Canada, it would probably take them 5-10 years to act upon the case. Legal immigrants are much more likely to be deported due to misfiled paperwork, a missing form C-2875463552849827764637762553443-BS (pink copy, not the yellow!!), missed deadlines due to backlogs in the visa department etc. etc. etc.

What is this person's living situation and what employment do they have?
My Sherlock sense tells me that when she moves from CA in MTL ,she meet "fellow" American with job she wants and now somehow she find that he/she got no work permit.. ....I CSI ....maybe not true but it sounds good
