MN is Democrat but only by a very SLIM margin, as usual. The frustration is that you never know it. It’s usually just a small margin.
Neither 5.2% (Smith's margin) nor 4% are 'very SLIM' margins.

The 7.1% margin by which Biden carried the state is not 'very SLIM'.

None of the 24.1%, 11.4%, 10.6%, 8.7%, 6.2%, and 3.9% margins (Klobuchar, Walz, Smith, Simon, Blaha, Ellison, respectively) from 2018 are 'very SLIM'.

The sole statewide race in 2016 was fairly - not hardly very - slim, at 1.5%. It didn't even make the top five closest states in that year's presidential race.

Frankly, you have to go back to 2010 to find a 'very SLIM' DFL win in a statewide race, that being Dayton's 0.4% win in the gubernatorial race. Of the 17 subsequent statewide races - DFL wins, all - only 3 were by margins of less than 5%. No less than 7 were by double-digits.

And the only one (1 out of 28) statewide races in Minnesota post-2002 that was won by a Republican was Pawlenty's 2006 reelection bid, which he squeaked out by a margin of less than 1%. I suppose that one is your idea of 'very SLIM', no?

While I think the long DFL streak is somewhat anomalous, as there have been a couple that really could've gone either way (the aforementioned Dayton win, and Franken in 2008), it is simply not accurate to assert that either 'very SLIM' or even small margins are the norm.

Those 168,000 votes = ALL so-called refugees that the UN forced into our state. If not for them...

The dems. will never have to earn votes ever again when they are importing a million more annually.

Just wait until Biden/Harris lift the restrictions Trump put on refugee dumping in this state and Governor Muppet gets to throw the doors of the Inn back open. Soon all of our communities will look like Minneapolis.

Disagree. 4% is a VERY slim margin. I didn’t quote the others, you did. One can invent all the meanings one wants but it’s still a slim margin. It’s not like 3/4 of the people voted for the winner. Until that happens 4% is a slim margin in my book and not in yours. But didn’t you claim a 10% win? Didn’t happen.
