Hmm, perhaps the number 1 benefit of living in Iowa is that it is close to Minnesota.

Yeah, still has a lot of the downsides of MN, without a lot of the upsides. Although U of I is a way better college town than the U of M (and I went to the U of M!).

From what I am reading it sounds like there are nicer people in Iowa. Some my friends here in Minnesota are from Iowa and I think they are pretty nice, friendly, honest people. They might even have moved Minnesota up out of third place.
