And some people need to quit blaming everyone else and Obama's mom for higher gas prices: you're the one causing price increases if you're using too damn much. Take responsibility for your actions already.
Yeah, because nobody ever owned a house and then lost their job and had to take one an hour away to find work. And no employer has ever changed the location of the facilities putting some people closer to work and some farther away. Why are you bike people always so sanctimonious? I don't know who's worse, you or the choo-choo train fanatics.

8 days, average MN price down 28 cents. Lowest metro price now $3.89. September 2012 was last time for that price. Low was $2.89 on January 17 this year.

Not sure of your source, but gasbuddy.com says the lowest is $3.95 and the average is still over $4. It would make sense that there would be some decline from the initial spike as the summer switchover is completed, but it's not clear that we are in a downward trend yet.

I don't think our state taxes are below the national average. If they were we probably wouldn't be ranked at 18 and 19 for gas taxes. Even if they are below the average, it's not that much below considering our ranking.

You should report it to gasbuddy. That's how they get their data and they offer prize drawings as an incentive for reporting prices. It also helps others save money on gas and rewards lower priced retailers with more business.

It is customary Internet etiquette to link to one's source, especially when disputing information provided by another poster. I don't suggest that you don't have a source for this information, but it would be appropriate for you to substantiate it.

Well I am in Rochester, and we are usually a few cents cheaper than the cities, so it's not much of a savings to drive all the way down here to fill up.
