Does anyone know if there are any hotels in the Minneapolis area, that offer fragrance free rooms? I have MCS, and need to visit the city for health care. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Forget the hotel and find yourself a campground that has "camper cabins" instead.

These are basically oversized wooden sheds that have bunk beds and a table in them. They have been gaining in popularity the last few years and many campgrounds now offer them.

You would have to provide your own blankets and sheets to put over the thin plastic encased mattresses that they probably have, but this could be the ticket if you're trying to avoid scents and chemicals. To clean them out, most places probably don't use much more than a broom after a guest leaves.

Hilton, Hyatt and Marriott all offer fragrance free rooms upon reservation.

Never thought of this, it's an option, thanks.

I ended up staying at Homewood Suites by Hilton, as my medical appointment was at Southdale Medical Center. The room was not exactly fragrance free. What they do is clean the room with scent free products and place an ozone machine in the room before you arrive. It did help a lot, but still not truly a fragrance free room.
