You do realize these fake Market Values, which is what they use to justify these increases, are all fake.

Did anyone notice the homestead exclusion change? Or did yours change? Mine went from $3202.00 last year to only $582 this year- huge difference! Why????

Whose pocket is all that money going into?

There is an upper limit to the homestead exclusion, right? So, as the assessed value of your house increases, you get closer to that upper limit and the gap gets smaller. Thus, you were $3,202 below the upper limit last year, and only $582 below this year. Next year maybe your assessed value exceeds the homestead limit and you no longer have a homestead, hahaha. No longer living the Laura Ingalls Wilder experience.

The pocket is not yours but the LUGs (local units of government). BTW, did you see that the state of Minnesota has a projected surplus of $7.7 BILLION. So now they are asking: What can we spend that money on? Instead, they should lower taxes so that we can try to survive Bidenflation. Private individuals can allocate their own resources better than the LUGs. LUGs will support the gang bangers and car jackers with helicopter money. (Interesting to see that Minneapolis is on track to average 10 stolen cars per day this entire year. That is not just car jackings, but all manners of car stealing.)
