I'd like to share with y'all some adventurous places to walk that will keep your mind alert and move your body. All these walks involve where to start/return with respect to where you can park your car for FREE! Yours truly abors paying to park my car. So come along with me, I'm on my way to health in both mind and body.

#1- Park free a block south of the old Munsingwear Building & also in the vacinity of the fancy/schmancy Yuppy athletic club. Feh on them! Do not pay to walk around in your summer beach clothes and shower with people of questionable sexuality. Instead --
Cut across the spacious parking lot to the stop light at Glenwood. Then go past Catholic Charities. Hand out your hard-earned $ at your own risk. Go up the hill and notice the railroad tracks. Do not venture down there however. After the hill flattens out, on your right is the City of Minneapolis Maintenance Building. At the next corner is a popular, but very low-key bar. It is noted as the last place where Tiny Tim performed. After his gig, he died of a heart attack. I met him. He was a very talented guy. He had a fantastic vocal range, from falsetto to deep bass. And it was a natural deep bass. Alas, he is gone!
Cross the street and go to the next corner, proceeding still on Glenwood Avenue. There is a charity/homeless shelter place at this next corner. You will now have walked nearly a mile. Congratulations! Now turn south to another charity/homeless shelter. At this point, you can either cut across the street to the bus waiting area and then take the escalator that will take you through a big advertising agency and into the bowels of downtown commerce and industry -- OR -- keep walking outside, going east, crossing Hennepin, with a very nice-looking Baptist Church on your right. Then past big buck$ University of St. Thomas, where you can enter and go through a labyrinth and also arrive in the bowels of downtown biz.
You will now have walked easily over a mile. More like 1.25 miles. Do you feel lighter on your feet because you have lost some weight? You should, unless you sneaked a snack on the way.
{MORE LATER!} You may now rest and/or go to the rest room, if you can find one.
