It's very interesting to me that the politicians that pass this sort of stuff hate police so much, yet they are giving them even more power by passing this sort of stuff.

Irony isn't part of their makeup.

Please explain their reasoning to me. They hate police (that's undeniable) but they are giving them even more power at the same time.

Are they just a bunch of halfwit dunderheads, or are their motives/agenda perhaps more sinister?

"Politicians Hate Police."
Parse that for us, please.

Give all of us here your wisdom. And elaborate on their "sinister" motives. We're listening.

I believe state law is that they do NOT have to put signs up for the following:

30mph zones (in towns)
55mph zones (rural, etc).

Anything else is supposed to have signage. Even the state highways that have gone to 60mph in recent years are all marked with 60mph signs now.

If they want 25mph I believe they would have to put signs up...unless the law has changed. It could have...just throwing this out there.

I'd also agree that the cops probably won't enforce the 20 or 25mph changes heavily. This is more of an effort to try and get drivers to slow down.
