Here's a thread to post your flickr collections, attachment photos (only a limited number), photobucket, etc. whatever collection of photos from around the South Florida area. I hope some people can share their collections, and I am getting a brand new scanner so I will be able to share mine soon too!

I just posted these in the main Florida board pics thread, but I just saw this thread now and think they are also appropriate here:

Downtown West Palm Beach and Cityplace, a couple days ago from the roof of the "Metropolitan" condominium rooftop.

The two white towers in the distance are the "Trump Plaza" condominiums, WPB landmarks for over two decades. If you look down the road you can see the intracoastal waterway, Palm Beach Island, and then the Ocean:

Down Sapodilla Ave. looking towards the convention center, Kravis Center, and Cityplace on the left:

The Dreyfoos School of the Arts, ranked #17 in the nation for "Top Highschools":

For all the bad reputation this area seems to have for "schools," Suncoast Community Highschool in Riviera Beach is ranked #5 in the nation, and Atlantic Community Highschool is ranked #37... both part of the Palm Beach County school system.

Those are nice. I'm surprised that someone hasn't taken pictures of the slummy parts or during rush hour etc.

How is that "interesting"? I'm not interested in pics of homeless people and street thugs, anymore than when I admire pics of the United States do I want to take pictures of the pervasive poverty that makes us look like a third world nation in comparison to Europe.

You do that. Because drug use is peculiar to South Florida, of course. It's not like there are meth labs throughout "small town America" exploding in the middle of the night or anything like that.
