That's not the way the cruise lines normally operate. If all your paperwork for each and every port is not in order, then they don't let you board at your port of embarkation. And if they miss it at embarkation, but catch it during the cruise, they kick you off the ship at an earlier port before you reach the port where the paperwork is deficient. That's what happened to quite a few people on a South American cruise we were on that had stops in Brazil. They don't let you enter that country's or territory's waters and just have you remain on the ship.

As it turned out, we don't need to worry. On the site Ulitka a link was posted: Visa exemption for all cruise ship passengers

Maybe my message was blocked because I inserted a link.
In the link it is reported that since March 8, cruise liner's passagires do not need a visa if they stay in the British Virgin Islands for less than 24 hours.
