In the last ten years we have lost a lot of agricultural land in Miami-Dade County and sadly I do not see the trend stopping anytime soon. The land is very valuable, our population continues to grow, developers are well entrenched and our politicians benefit from all of this.

Sad but true. Dade's farms will continue to disappear, slowly or not so slowly, but surely.

^^^ Our politicians want to eventually end agriculture in this country and import all of our food from foreign countries. It is a plan that has been in the works for a long time and puts us in a vulnerable position.

The only thing that will save the farmland, or any of south Florida's history is the collapse of the FIRE economy. Once the rest pf the world moves away from the dollar, Miami and it's suburbs will begin to lose population. If you live long enough you will see those zero lot suburbs being demolished for scrap and returned to farmland.
