Getting out of Miami (Hialeah, Weston: crime, hotel, house)

Have you checked Kissimmee ?? It's multi-racial and lots of people of Puerto Rican background, too - though, I didn't find much difference in crime, traffic compared to some parts here. It's getting expensive, too.

cixel - I have been on here for a week now, and have seen you say what culture, there is only latin culture. I have to say, the first time, I saw that, I was like, what there is lots of culture in Miami, what is he talking about. But the more I see your comments, and think about it, YOU ARE RIGHT. Yes there are people from all over the world here. But not enough to say there is a diverse culture. There is are two cultures the american in the small pockets and the majority latin.

Buy the way, I think there is a small pocket of asians just west of Dadeland in the apartment complexes.

You might want to try Atlanta. My wife and I are moving there because Orlando, like Miami, has gotten too crowded and pricey. Housing and insurance prices are out of control. Atlanta is very diverse and has a large latino and Puerto Rican population. Atlanta is also much more beautiful - trees and mountains everywhere. We are looking into the Kennesaw area in Cobb County.

Atlanta is not a panacea , yes it has some nice areas especially in the Northern suburbs but there are serious racial issues , high crime , terrible air quality and some nasty , nasty close minded rednecks just South of Atlanta . See the Atlanta forums and you will understand what I am saying also I lived in Alpharetta for two years it was nice sort of like Weston in Broward County ... and oh did I forget to mention the traffic in Atlanta and the suburbs is the worst I have seen anywhere and I have been all over the country !!

Say what you want to say about the people in Weston , some of whom are very snobby and arrogant the place is beautiful , safe and manicured . I was referring about the aesthetics of Weston , and Alpharetta near Atlanta was just as nice . You and your partner " CIXel " need to get a life , it seems all you do is rag on South Florida , why don' t you get out .... please ?


I noticed you guys post all the time and everything is negative , yes South Florida and Miami in particular have it's problems and frankly I do not like some of the "third world " mentality about the area , but there are great things about the area and some nice and interesting people as well . Were do you guys live in Hialeah , Calle Ocho , Homestead or some other ghetto area ? No wonder you do not like it down here , that would be like living in Compton , Santa Ana or Huntington Beach near Los Angeles !!

If we post all the time, you must read all the time. And I've told you time and time again where I live. "With her Asians," "with your lesbians." You keep supporting my thoughts, yes this means you don't know anything about other cultures...Lesbians and Gays are equally dominant in S. Florida than in Seattle. It is you're ignorance, that shows how Floridians who like this place think a-like. And I lived here for 5 years, which is plenty enough to know about Florida. I assume you haven't been to Seattle, or California which makes your claims pretty worthless as they are bias. I at least come with opinions after living in two places and comparing them together.

And on the other post, you mention Fortune 500 companies, dont get me started about comparing companies in California & washington against Florida.

I agree ....... about the lesbians , I was in Los Angeles two months ago and Huntington Beach looks like crap except for the area around the convention center . Sorry about the lesbian remark ... some of my best friends are lesbians !!
