CapeCodder you'll do well! really the board games are great for those times when you just feel like being cozy in the house!

oh, Alison, I wear my sneakers year round too! not if I'm going sliding or hiking mind you, but to the grocery store or something....I like my suede mocs too, and my clogs....neither are really meant for winter, but they're fine most of the time

Out of more than 600 listed phobias, there is none particular to board games.

There is fear of paper, fear of words, fear of sitting idle, and a number of others that could be partially applicable, but, alas, there is no recognized medical condition for a fear of board games.

I get very bored with board games. I think I'd opt for curling up with hot cup of coffee and a good book. Now, Monopoly on the GameCube is a different story! I like the cute little graphics.

I do love cards. DH and I love to play poker and spades. I especially enjoy spades, and we're very good at it - probably why I love it! I like to win!!

Default getting board games for the kids

I stocked up at a toy store sale on some games for the kids after reading all the posts about being shut in for the winter. They are outgrowing the little kid games they have anyway. This Christmas they'll get a bunch in advance of being in Maine next year. Having been an only child I didn't have siblings to play with so I guess I'll be learning a lot of them right along side!
I'm going to have to scope out some of those shaking flashlights too.
