Road improvement program in Bibb winding down - Local & State - Macon (http://www.macon.com/198/story/441976.html - broken link)
Mayor I see theres a lot going on there. My daughter wants to move there and she has two kids (twins girls). She is very quiet and tend to stay to herself. Shes trying to find a job there before she comes in the healthcare field. Is there good public transportation until she get a car. Is crime high there if so what parts? I would consider coming there too but these are some of my concerns too. We want to know what areas should she avoid and which should she consider. Give me your totally honest feedback because you speak so highly of macon but I haven't heard about some of the badd.
Macon a is nice thriving city which is experiencing tremendous growth. Macon does have some not so good areas as well but not as bad as most people on here make it seem them to appear. North Macon is transforming into the premier area somewhat on the scale of a mini Buck head. South Macon off I-75/Hartley Bridge is nice but there is a lot of growth as well, East Macon/Jones County has a lot of nice areas too. Downtown is becoming a good area for living to with all the residential growth as well. The areas to watch out for is the South Macon areas the Houston Ave, The Peach Orchard and Rocky Creek area; also Central Macon around the Unionville and lower/central parts of Napier Ave.. Other than that you should enjoy Macon… Plenty of Shopping choices and a Lot more on the way, there’s 2 Malls one enclosed and one open air….. if there is anything else you would like know about I will more than happy to fill you in ……
