Did the states bar them from competition generally, through the appropriate governing bodies, or only at the specific events held in state facilities? These are important legal distinctions.
Replace "trans" with "black," Hispanic," "Jewish," or "veteran" which are covered under the same regulations and see why this is a horrible idea to implement from this office in this manner
Depends on the state many like Alabama restrict them from any competition in any public school. Some restrict them from any state collegiate competition in the state. “Trans” has not yet been deemed to have the same protections as race or sexual orientation many courts have upheld these restrictions which is why they still exist. Many feel that allowing biological males to compete against girls is infringing on THEIR rights to fair competition. That’s the huge difference
It won't hold up because it's a blatant violation of state and federal law. He can't deny permits based on some of the participants being members of protected classes. The only way to actually address this is through the governing bodies of the actual athletic programs.
Trans is not a protected class. You may think so, being here in NY, due to the flood of health department pronouncements and executive orders.

Zeldin basically won. If it weren’t for the vote shenanigans Hochul would be gone.
Closest race since 1982 & 1994. When you look at the results map it’s solid red aside from a few counties.
But that included the city which you could almost win a statewide election just based on that population alone. Whatever. She’s all yours. You can keep her, she aint my problem anymore. Next election will be a D landslide because all the R’s are leaving the state.
