Ended up renewing with Petro for $2.459 through their retentions after going back and forth for days. Free service contract as my equipment was "new", although I think they would have given the free service contract regardless.
It's amazing how they love to quote NYSERDA pricing which is like quoting car pricing at MSRP. However when I use NYSERDA against them and explain how according to NYSERDA oil pricing is only up 10% from last year (vs. the 25% increase they wanted to quote me) they get their panties in a bunch.
The lady I was speaking with on the phone kept telling me how oil pricing was so much higher than this time last year and even told ME to look at NYSERDA. This is while I have the NYSERDA page up in front of me as I am speaking to her. Whatever I ended up getting a decent enough deal.
Anything is better than that one year it came close to $5 a gallon.
Took me almost 2 years to catch up on that one.
That same year this skell on my old mans block was skimming a few gallons of oil from the neighbors oil tanks every few nights.
I'm just getting into the swing for this year. Started with my current supplier and looking to check with Meenan. I'll be aiming for TMing's price point.
A quick google search for Meenan shows their customer service is horrendous. Look at the reviews. Not sure if I'm calling them now.
Lies. I've had them for years and they have always gone above and beyond.
