We are a retired couple moving to the Knoxville area. We are looking for advice about health care providers or groups there. We are both on Medicare Advantage programs now. Any recommendations? HMO, PPO, or whatever. We appreciate the help!

We went with Human, because their plans included our Doctors and current meds. We had a great person come out and saw what we needed, and found a plan that fit us the best. Best to find someone that handles all plans, and not just one. DM if you like and I can give you more info if you want.

Don't know where you will be living. Sounds like you will need a doctor there.

Maybe go to Medicare.gov website & search for providers there. The hospitals are rated so maybe you can go by that.

Final thought is to have referrals from your current doctors.

I think it depends on the terms of your Medicare Advantage plan. I have a MA plan through my former employer that allows me to go to any provider who accepts Medicare. I have not had any trouble finding doctors who take Medicare in the Knoxville area.
