I'm going to a non Medicare doctor and he has requested that I have some blood test ran...will medicare coverage change depending on who wrote the prescription for the blood test?
It might pay at a lower percentage because your provider does not accept Medicare. Can't tell from the little information you gave. It might still pay at the normal percentage depending on what the blood test is being used for. Call Medicare and ask them. Or, get the blood test done by a provider (maybe an independent testing lab?) that accepts Medicare.
