I agee with you,but I think you left out fried cat fish. Every where I been in the state has this on the menu. I would rather have good beans and cornbread than a stake. My wife just does'nt understand it.(thinks I'm crazy)

KFC is not what I think of when I want fried chicken. I would think that most people from KY think of skillet fried, And it is a lot better. Just think of the home gravy that can be made from the cracklins. Hope I spelled that right.

I got to thinking about this and not one specific food really jump out as being just KY's. I kept thinking because I love KY's food. I know that everyone most likely has a favorite food that reminds them of Kentucky, but for me what I think of is just old fashion family style country cooking.
