I am seeing quite a few homes in Kentucky with a gas pack. I am unfamiliar with this term and wonder if anyone can explain how this works, and what the concept is. Is this as good as a regular furnace????? Do you need a propane tank to keep it running???? Any info would be much appreciated!

Gas pack has gas furnace and AC all in one unit that is on outside and duct work runs under house.
