All of your questions are answered in my posts numbered 7 & 8. Are you reading the entire forum or just the last few posts. Muhlenberg is rural, clannish, and devoid of any major shopping; unless you consider Wal-Mart major shopping. The Ku klux Klan is alive and well there, although they did move their headquarters to Dawson Springs a few years ago. It is dusty due to Paradise Steam Plant and the strip mines; of course the dust varies depending on what part of the county you live in. It might be a great place to be FROM. Anyone who cares can investigate all of this for themselves. It's full of proud to be poor types, those who are forced to defend their substandard circumstances because they have no options to improve themselves.

No you DIDNT answer my questions. WHERE DO YOU LIVE??? Answer that for starters and refer back to my last post for the other question. I would love, LOVE, to know what qualifies you to comment on Muhlenberg County. Since you do seem to know it all and stuff....

I wonder if the original poster ever moved to Greenville or not? My first job was in Muhlenberg County KY at the Golden Eagle Cafe, 2 bucks a shift or a burger fries and coke, plus tips. LOL! Some of the best cooks on earth are from Muhlenberg County Ky, too. If you get to eat with them consider yourself lucky. Of course people are clannish it is a small town, what do people expect? But some of the best people I still know are from Muhlenberg County. All places have pros and cons, and most people drive a ways for a job anyway.

I had to laugh out loud at the Cleaton references, oh my lord as a kid when the county was dry we used to get our weekend beverages at the bootleggers in Cleaton!! Bunch of teenagers roaring up to buy booze. Well me and the sis went back to Muhlenberg to visit many years later and we drove through Cleaton as our visiting old places tour, and when we drove through Cleaton we took a turn down a road that ended in a trailer, and we had to back out, and there were about three shotguns pointed at us the whole bloomin time roflmao!! Good old Cleaton!!

It seems that they don't post here anymore, but it looks like he did move to Western Kentucky.

]Well, I am glad I moved here, but I wish I wouldn't have moved here for the reasons I did. Most of all I wish I wouldn't have listened to one person and let them in my life like I did.

But other than that I LOVE IT HERE! Have made some wonderful friends, have a good job and would never change my residence here.

The nature here is beautiful and breathtaking at times. I love to sit on my porch swing and listen to the birds and watch the sun rise. It always takes my breath away at how peaceful it can be.
