Do many people that live in Georgetown send their children to Lex Catholic or is that just a bit too far?
We liked that area when we came to visit last week. We especially liked the Cherry Blossom golf community. Are there others like that near there?

I do know a few families that go to Lexington Catholic from the Georgetown area, but that is a very long drive. The biggest issue is that Lexington Catholic is centrally located in Lexington, which means that there is no direct interstate access or easy route to the school. However, since there is not a Catholic high school in Georgetown, parents who feel strongly about a Catholic education do make the drive. Personally, though, I would move to Lexington if I had my heart set on Lexington Catholic, because that drive could get old pretty fast.

As far as Georgetown neighborhoods go, you have several options that you can compare with Cherry Blossom. Cherry Blossom, of course, has the golf course setting, and is pretty convenient to I-75.

Victoria Estates is a nice development with large lots (1 acre+ ), a gated entrance, and a private lake:

Mallard Point has a more rustic, woodsy feel with several private lakes and a very private ambience. Here is a listing for a typical Mallard Point home:

Fisher's Mill is near I-64 at Midway, with access to Lexington via Leestown Rd. It is a very nice country setting, with large lots and horses nearby.

Canewood is another popular golf course community, located just west of downtown Georgetown near Payne's Landing.

I believe that Ridgeview Estates is also a golf course community, but I don't know much about it.

If you want to be closer to Cincinnati, your best bets of these would be Cherry Blossom (closer to Lexington) or Mallard Point (more north and closer to Cincinnati) due to their proximity to I-75 and their more northern location.
