Oh, you chose to classify it similarly to a disorder which really is not the same thing as this topic. Did you actually mean "gender dysphoria? Completely different.

With some of the comments made I can only imagine, the poor person probably had enough.

No kidding! It's amazing how some people, from far and wide, come onto this topic under the Iowa forum just to take an opportunity to demean someone.

Clinically, these are different. Body dysmorphia relates to a perceived flaw in appearance and could be about anything: nose, long legs, a jagged scar, big floppy ears, baldness, etc. What "you meant" is not the best example for this topic.

What comments should be made.....a mentally ill person who wants to teach our kids. They need to seek help, they can`t get it on a message board.

And your doctoral degree in Psychology was conferred upon you by which esteemed institution of higher learning? Asking for a friend.

Tell your friend to read all the threads by the OP, a first grader would know, that this person should not be teaching any child.

Reminds me of former TN Senator Bill Frist, who "diagnosed" Terri Schiavo by viewing a videotape.

I think it is such a sad world we now live in where people have such issues about what gender they may or may not be. Glad I grew up in a time that didn't exist. But these days there is too much sickness to even measure in our society so not any surprise. I would have to agree, they shouldn't be teaching the kids.
