Given what it is as of the time I write this, has anyone been to Santa Clause, Indiana?

It's an interesting area for sure, good to see another local poster! I'm still getting acquainted with the area and meeting new people.

That's Perdue University and Suburu territory. Just a straight shot up to Chicago too. How do you like it so far compared to your prior place that was outside Louisville? I've been to Lafayette IN and it seems like a nice city, albeit very centered around the famous University.

Lafayette and West Lafayette are wonderful places to raise a family, find good employment, enjoy the many activities and the cultural/sports events at PUrdue University. I was born and raised here and returned to the area after working for 40+ years in south Florida. Please note that it is spelled: PURDUE. Subaru is just one of many employers in the area.

Lafayette has a beautiful historic downtown and people all over the 'old city' portion are preserving old homes, many dating back to the 19th century. People are welcoming, diverse, helpful, kind. A good place to raise a family.

You folks from central and southern Indiana should pay a visit to the Indiana Dunes area on the south shore of Lake Michigan. I live in Valparaiso ("Valpo"), just a 20-minute drive from the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore and Indiana Dunes State Park. This is a beautiful area in its own right, and Valparaiso is an idyllic city in a great location.

Welcome back, domer!
